Fishing
I know you are getting sick of this BUT this IS the big game fishing capital of the world. Marlin, tuna, Dorado, shark, if it’s big it's here. The waters teem with 850 species of marine life and is a prime breeding area for the once nearly extinct gray whale. So crystal clear are the waters off Cabo San Lucas that visibility can reach 120 feet in the summer months. It’s almost disgusting to see how many fish are caught. Thank goodness they have a catch and release program here and limits on the fish caught. The number of fishing boats that leave the harbor each day is amazing and they always seem to come back with good catches. Fishing is new to Cindy and me and we are still learning how to catch fish but when we do we love the feast that follows. Fresh fish is the best. Boating is also new to us but we are learning quickly about our boat. Did you know you could get a GPS for your boat, that’s complicated? We have all the fishing stuff. I laughed when we bought some live bait and had an actual live bait well on our boat that looks something like a fish tank (someone showed us that). We also have a toilet on our boat something Cindy insisted upon. We christened our boat the EX-ARCTICA, no more cold and it sounds Spanish…si? |
